Our Story

Quality, not quantity. One car at a time.

Wrap Sesh AZ started the way the best small shops always do — one mentor, one apprentice, one shared obsession with the work. In 2015, Michael Shedd took on Jessica Bonifacio as an apprentice. A year later, in 2016, the two of them opened Wrap Sesh in Gilbert, Arizona, and the “Vinyl Vixen” persona was born alongside the company.

Nine-plus years later, the East Valley shop at 734 N Golden Key St is still run by the same two people who started it. BBB Accredited with an A+ rating since March 2019. A 4.7-star Google rating across roughly 136 reviews. Featured in ClassicCars.com Journal, VoyagePhoenix, Graphics-Pro, Signs of the Times, The Wrap Institute, and ShoutoutArizona. The work spans full color-change wraps, custom-printed graphics, paint protection film and clear bra, ceramic coatings, window tinting, and the projects bigger shops won’t touch — helmets, motorcycles, boats, wheelchairs, even building wraps. Every job is run end-to-end by Mike and Jess, the way it was on day one.

Michael “Slim Sheddy” Shedd

Mike is a certified mechanic with 14-plus years in the automotive field and 10-plus years specifically in the vinyl industry. He’s the half of the partnership who knows what’s underneath the panel before the wrap goes on it — door jambs, mirror caps, body lines, the spots where lesser installers cut corners.

He trained Jess as an apprentice in 2015 and has been her installation partner ever since. On any given wrap at the Gilbert shop, Mike is the one running the heat gun, mapping the panel breaks, and making the calls on whether a body line gets wrapped through or relieved.

Jessica “Vinyl Vixen” Bonifacio

Jess came up the right way — apprentice to Mike in 2015, co-owner by 2016. The Vinyl Vixen brand grew out of her work and now operates as Wrap Sesh’s sister identity, dedicated to elevating women in the vinyl industry and networking with female installers around the world.

She’s the half of the partnership Yelp reviewers keep singling out by name. Gregory B. credited her on a Mercedes Sprinter wrap in March 2025. Kena O. did the same on a custom hood design in May 2025. Both reviews land on the same word — collaboration.

Her work has been profiled by VoyagePhoenix (2018) and recognized by Arlon Graphics EMEA in 2022 as part of the International Women’s Day #WomenWhoWrap / #BreakTheBias campaign.

We stayed small for a reason. The car you drop off is wrapped by the people who own the shop — not handed down a line. That’s the trade we made when we hung the sign in 2016, and it’s the trade we’re still making today.

Through the Vinyl Vixen sister brand, Jess works to build a stronger, more united female presence in the vinyl industry — mentoring, networking, and showing up for women installers around the world. Team work makes the dream work, and the dream isn’t just our shop. It’s the whole craft.
