About Vinyl Wraps

The basics, before you book.

The questions we get most often when a new client walks in for a color consult or calls about a fleet job.

What are the benefits of wrapping your vehicle?

A wrap does a lot more than change color:

  • Protects your vehicle's factory paint
  • Increases resale value
  • Gives your vehicle a personalized, custom look
  • Cost effective versus a full repaint
  • Quicker turnaround than paint
  • Acts as a sacrificial layer over the original finish
  • Easier to touch up damaged panels than paint
  • Unlimited design possibilities and color choices
  • Excellent for advertising and fleet branding
  • Easy to maintain
  • Completely removable without damaging factory paint
What color options do I have?
The color possibilities are essentially endless. Our shop has a full wall of samples to view in person, plus unlimited options through printed wraps. The color consult room has over 400 wrapped templates that show each film on a curved bodyline, so you see the real depth of the color instead of guessing from a flat 3x6 sample.
How long does a wrap last, and what finishes are available?
We work with hundreds of color options from a select group of professional brands, plus specialty films. Finishes include matte, satin, gloss, pearl, iridescent, color shift, chrome, and carbon. Everything we install is high-quality cast film, and the lines vary in thickness and conformability depending on the application. We also offer colored over laminates, reflective film, and fully custom prints.
What types of things can be wrapped?

Almost anything, within reason. On vehicles, a gloss painted surface is ideal for adhesion. Gloss plastics on dirt bikes and off road vehicles wrap well. Textured oil based plastics can be wrapped, but we do not warranty those installs. Matte factory paint and primered or unpainted panels are not ideal surfaces.

Outside of vehicles, there is wrap film available for glass, painted walls, brick, floors, wood, and plenty more. We have done helmets, motorcycles, boats, wheelchairs, and even building wraps.

Are there differences between vinyl brands?
There are many wrap brands on the market, but we only work with a select few. The basic rule applies: you get what you pay for. The film we choose determines how the wrap conforms, how long it lasts, and how cleanly it removes years later. Cutting cost on material is the fastest way to a bad result.
Why choose Wrapsesh to wrap my vehicle?
Wrapsesh has been wrapping vehicles in the East Valley since 2016. Co-owner Michael Shedd is a certified mechanic with more than ten years in vinyl and over fourteen years in automotive work. The shop is BBB Accredited with an A+ rating since 2019 and carries a 4.7 star Google rating across roughly 136 reviews. We are a small, owner-operated shop, which means the people quoting your job are the same people installing it.
Caring for Your Wrap

After install, before the first wash.

How to keep a wrap looking right, and what to expect over time.

How do I care for my wrap?
Hand wash with a gentle automotive soap and a soft mitt. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes, and keep high pressure jets away from the seams and edges. Dry with a clean microfiber. Address bird droppings, bug splatter, and tree sap promptly because they can stain film if left to bake. We walk every client through care specifics for their exact film before they drive away.
How durable is a wrap, and how do I make it last longer?
Quality cast film is built to last for years when properly cared for, but Arizona sun is the biggest variable. Garaging the vehicle, parking in shade when possible, and consistent hand washing make a meaningful difference. Heat, UV, and harsh chemicals are what shorten a wrap's life, so the more you can limit those, the longer the finish stays sharp.
How do existing dents and rock chips affect my wrap?
A wrap conforms to the surface underneath. It is not a body repair. Existing dents, dings, and rock chips will still be visible through the film, sometimes more obvious in certain finishes like gloss or chrome. If you want a flawless final look, we recommend handling paint and body repair before the wrap goes on. We can advise on what is worth fixing and what is fine to leave alone.
Do I need to do anything to prep my vehicle before bringing it in?
Give the vehicle a thorough wash before drop off. Avoid waxing or applying ceramic spray sealants in the weeks leading up to the appointment, since those products can interfere with adhesion. If you have aftermarket parts coming off (badges, trim, accessories), let us know in advance so we can plan the install. Anything else, we handle in the shop.
